Time on the relationship, not in the data
Your time belongs in the room with the donor — not in the data.
Konas is a full-service fundraising operation. We read your entire portfolio and deliver a short morning list: the donors ready today, why each one surfaced, and outreach drafted in your voice. Meetings get booked, records stay clean, and a professional reviews every donor-facing output before it leaves your shop.
§ 01 · The Problem
Every gift officer wakes up to a portfolio they cannot fully see.
Major gift portfolios live across spreadsheets, Salesforce, Blackbaud, email threads, and the memory of the staffer who has been there longest. No single person can hold all of it, so coverage quietly shrinks to whoever is loudest or most familiar.
Every meeting you book costs hours of preparation and record keeping. The real loss isn't the time — it's the gift that was never made because the right meeting never got scheduled.
§ 02 · The Service
The full move cycle, run for you.
There is nothing to install and nothing to learn. Konas operates the major gift cycle on your behalf, and every donor-facing output is reviewed by an experienced fundraiser before it goes out.
Overnight portfolio scoring
Every night we read gift history, engagement, capacity indicators, and calendar proximity across your whole portfolio. Each morning you get a ranked list of who is ready, with the reason attached.
Meetings get booked
For each donor on your morning list, we draft the outreach in your voice and match three meeting slots to your calendar. We send, they reply, and the meeting lands on your schedule.
A briefing card in your voice
Before each meeting you receive a one-page brief: the donor's history with your organization, the relationship arc, what to ask, and what to avoid. Drafted in your voice and reviewed before you see it.
The CRM writes itself
After a meeting, speak two sentences. We write the structured record back to Salesforce or Blackbaud — outcome, topics, next move, ask range — so your records stay current without a single evening of data entry.
§ 03 · Peer Review
Nothing reaches a donor unreviewed.
Every message and every CRM record passes a professional review before it goes out. The automation handles the volume; the judgment stays human. If something reads wrong, it gets fixed before anyone outside your shop sees it.

§ 04 · Who's Building This
Thomas Chang
Thomas Chang spent twelve years carrying major gift portfolios — at the Sierra Club, the Catalina Island Conservancy, USC Marshall School of Business, and most recently Providence St. Jude Memorial Foundation, where he led philanthropy for orthopedics and oncology. Before fundraising he was a senior economist at the U.S. Department of Labor. He holds an MPA from USC, and in 2026 he left development work to build Konas.ai full-time.
Every feature in Konas.ai answers an opportunity he lived with daily: portfolios scattered across spreadsheets and CRMs, hours of admin for every meeting booked, and warm donors slipping because the right meeting never got scheduled. Konas is the tool he wanted in every development office he worked in — built to give gift officers their time back for the relationships that fund the mission.

Ten nonprofits. Two spots left at founder pricing.
We're recruiting ten design-partner organizations to run Konas.ai on live portfolios, with weekly working sessions and a short case study at the end. If you run a major gift program and want to help shape what this becomes, leave your email.
