Konas.ai

Time on the relationship, not in the data

Konas.ai helps frontline fundraisers spend their time where it matters — in the room, with the donor who's ready — by doing the finding, timing, and preparation that usually keeps them at their desk.

Konas reads your entire portfolio overnight and gives you a short morning list — the donors ready today, why each one surfaced, and an outreach message in your voice. You book the meeting; Konas writes the CRM note. Every donor-facing output is checked by a peer-review layer before it reaches anyone.

One field, 10 seconds. We'll reply within 48 hours.

§ 01 · The Problem

Every gift officer wakes up to a portfolio they cannot fully see.

Major gift portfolios live across spreadsheets, Salesforce, Blackbaud, email threads, and the memory of whichever staffer has been there the longest. Some donors are ready. Some are slipping. Most are waiting.

Two hours of admin time are lost for every meeting booked. The real cost isn't the time — it's the gift that didn't get made because the right meeting never got scheduled.

§ 02 · The Agentic Loop

Score. Schedule. Brief. Log.
Automatically.

One agent. The full move cycle. Not a copilot that suggests — a pilot that flies. Each output is checked by a professional peer-review layer before it ever reaches the donor.

01Score

Overnight portfolio scoring

Every night the agent reads gift history, calendar proximity, engagement velocity, capacity signals, and sentiment — ranking your portfolio by true readiness, not heuristics from sales pipelines.

02Schedule

The meeting books itself

Morning digest: five donors ready today, each with the reason they surfaced and three meeting slots matched to your calendar. The agent sends. They book. The meeting lands on the calendar.

03Brief

A briefing card in your voice

Before the meeting, a one-page briefing — the donor's arc, the relationship history, what to ask, what to avoid — drafted in your voice and reviewed against your team's tone profile.

04Log

Two sentences → CRM Task

After the meeting, speak two sentences. The agent writes the structured Task back to Salesforce or Blackbaud — outcome, topics, sentiment, next move, ask range. Paperwork is gone.

§ 03 · Trust Architecture

Full automation, with a human-grade peer review.

Every drafted message and every CRM write passes through a second-model peer review before it leaves the agent. Hallucinations get caught. Tone gets matched. Your name stays clean.

  • Dual-model verification on every donor-facing output
  • Tone profile trained per fundraiser
  • Full audit trail — every action explainable
  • SOC 2 path · zero data leaves your tenant

§ 04 · The Wedge

The AI layer Nonprofit Cloud doesn't have.

Einstein was built for sales pipelines. Major gift fundraising is a different animal — multi-year arcs, irregular cadences, signals sales-pipeline AI was never trained to read.

Konas.ai is the vertical agent for a $500B annual giving market where the dominant CRM is twenty-year-old infrastructure and the challenger is short the AI capability that defines modern CRM.

§ 05 · Who's Building This

Thomas Chang

Thomas Chang spent twelve years carrying major gift portfolios — at the Sierra Club, the Catalina Island Conservancy, USC Marshall School of Business, and most recently Providence St. Jude Memorial Foundation, where he led philanthropy for orthopedics and oncology. Before fundraising he was a senior economist at the U.S. Department of Labor. He holds an MPA from USC, and in 2026 he left development work to build Konas.ai full-time.

Every feature in Konas.ai answers an opportunity he lived with daily: portfolios scattered across spreadsheets and CRMs, hours of admin for every meeting booked, and warm donors slipping because the right meeting never got scheduled. Konas is the tool he wanted in every development office he worked in — built to give gift officers their time back for the relationships that fund the mission.
